The Sailing for Sustainability is a European-wide Global Education program activity focusing on the topic of Sustainability. The context of launching our project is the United Nation Conference on sustainable development taking place in Rio, best known as Rio+20.
The idea has been born among some GLEN alumni and the Forum of GE Multipliers and has now turned into a Europe-wide programme including a variety of actors. More than 100 persons from around the world being passionate about sustainability will go sailing for 4 weeks in total – sharing knowledge and doing big actions on local events along the route.
Several seminars have already been held, the tutors and the particpants are selected, and now we are awaiting the start of the sailing tour in Gdansk on June 18!
Find all information and updates about the tour here: http://sailingforsustainability.net/ – and watch this space for log entries from along the way!
