The GLEN Multiplier’s Training Cycle of 2010 just finished with the RENew seminar. For the second time, it took place in beautiful Jedlnia, Poland. Participants of both the Francophone and Anglophone seminar groups attended the RENew, making it a gathering point for GLENnies from more that 10 different European countries.
RENew stands for Reviewing, Engagement and Networking – and accordingly the 5 seminar days were dedicated to first reviewing participants’ experiences in the Global South. Then, on a buzzing marketplace of exchange, the Global Education Actions GLENnies carried out upon their return from the internships were presented and evaluated. This year again, plenty of inspiring initiatives and actions have been launched.
Networking also forms an essential part of the RENew, be it formal as during the Open Space or informal during free time and evenings. In the Open Space, participants were discussing and planning to realise ideas and actions, reflecting on methods and topics, and also spending time exploring the forest of Jedlnia or exchanging energiser.
And on the informal side, bonfire, choral singing and a swinging party on the last night provided for wonderful opportunities to catch up with or get to know other GLENies and simply have a lot of fun together.
We wish all GLEN participants of 2010 all the best for their future and hope to meet again!
