INTERSECTIONAL FACILITATION:

How do we facilitate across contexts of difference*?

***FREE WEBINAR ALERT***

Tuesday, 24 October at 15:00 SAST/CEST

*In a world of a plethora of intersectional combinations, how do we facilitate difficult conversations across different contexts being cognizant of and taking into consideration the intersections of race, gender, language, religion, sex, able-bodiness, socio-economic background, etc. in the space? How do we begin to create conducive spaces for marginalized voices to come to the forefront yet still hold a space for all to participate? How do we embrace the diversity of spaces and use this diversity to contribute effectively to a conversation? As facilitators, how do we begin to navigate the space? In this webinar, facilitators Phumza Qwaqwa and Sarah Oliver (see their bio’s) will share their facilitation experiences, having facilitated for a numbers of years both nationally and internationally, as a guide to the conversation about facilitating across contexts of differences. They will attempt at answering these pertinent questions of facilitating, their struggles and successes, and highlight different methodologies that they use in their work.
